What is a Chatbot?

A chatbot is a computer program that simulates human conversation, using Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing.

How do Chatbots work?

Chatbots use a technology called Natural Language Processing (NLP) to read messages and figure out how to respond. At the core of all of this is Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is how chatbots learn to understand more and more as they gain experience.

What is AI?

AI stands for Artificial Intelligence, and it means computers or machines that demonstrate intelligence. For example, in 1996, a chess-playing AI created by IBM called Deep Blue defeated world champion chess player Garry Kasparov.

What is Natural Language Processing (NLP)?

Natural Language Processing is a machine's ability to understand what we say, break it down, comprehend meaning and come up with an appropriate and relevant response, giving the feeling of natural conversation.

What is remessaging?

Remessaging, also known as remarketing or retargeting, is a digital marketing process in which users that have already visited your site or used your service are targeted by adverts according to their previous online behaviour. For example, you may want to retarget users that add an item to their basket, and then navigate away from the page without completing a transaction, encouraging them to return and see their purchase through.
